Conference Weekend

I love conference weekend! And not just because we spend the day at my parents eating lentil soup and homemade cinnamon rolls, but I always feel that the speakers are speaking directly to me. It makes me want to be an even better person, mom and spouse. And for a week or two afterward I do really well ;). Anyway, the big thing I got from conference this time is I need to do a lot better about teaching my little ones about the Saviour at home. So, I am looking for ways to do that through books, videos, pictures etc. If you have good ideas please, please pass them on!

I feel the same about conference. I didn't get to hear much with kids running around and we had friends over, but I did pick up on the teaching kids at home message and all the awesome comments about motherhood. I'm excited for the Ensign to come out so I can read them instead...

Hey, we made cinnamon rolls toO! I love reading all the talks too when they come out! But I think they do have a way of speaking right to you about what you Need to hear, not exactly what I Want to hear.

Oh yes, always what I need to hear rarely what I want to hear. We all fell asleep through the second session so it will be good to read.

Hi Christi I have been following your blog since your mom sent it to me. I just figured out how to respond to it. My beautiful princess I can't believe you are all grown up, married, and have two beautiful boys. The best way to teach your children is through example. If you have a confused moment and we all do, call your mom. She and your dad are two of the best examples I know. Just be you and you will be the best mom and wife.

My take home message from conference was basically you know what you need to be doing, so shape up and do it. Was that what they said to anyone else, or was it just me?
